Overview

Leaders from around the world gathered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from November 30 to December 12, 2023, for the UN Climate Change Conference, or COP28.

EEI leaders and member company executives traveled to Dubai to participate in a variety of official side events highlighting the electric power industry’s clean energy leadership and the transformation of the U.S. economy. The events featured discussions on implementing clean energy funding from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and the Inflation Reduction Act, deploying new clean energy technologies, expanding electric transportation infrastructure, and more. Watch full recordings of EEI's events below.

The track record of America’s electric companies over the past decade, together with our trajectory of continuing emissions reductions, shows that we truly are committed to getting the energy we provide to customers as clean as we can as fast as we can, while continuing to prioritize reliability and affordability. We are proud to be leading the way in deploying renewables and other clean energy technologies, in supporting the development of new, affordable, 24/7 carbon-free technologies, and in investing in the infrastructure needed to deliver a resilient clean energy future to our customers.
