EEI Hosts 30th International Electricity Summit

The International Electricity Summit (IES), held September 30 through October 3 in Washington, D.C., brought together electric power industry leaders and their associations from Australia, Canada, Europe, Japan, and the United States to identify and discuss emerging global challenges facing the energy sector—and to find collaborative solutions.
Hosted by EEI this year, the IES celebrated its 30th anniversary. At the conclusion of the summit, EEI joined Eurelectric, the Federation of Electric Power Companies of Japan, the Australian Energy Council, Energy Network Australia, and Electricity Canada in issuing a joint statement to illustrate the delegations’ commitment to cooperation in pursuit of a customer-centric, resilient clean energy future that provides reliable and affordable electricity for all customers.
“Working together, we can ensure scalable growth and an adequate global supply of energy in a changing global landscape of geopolitical shifts, climate change-induced natural disasters, and uncertainty,” they said in the statement.
