PALM BEACH, FL (January 11, 2023) — The Edison Electric Institute (EEI) today announced that five employees will move into expanded roles in recognition of their leadership and contributions to EEI member companies across the clean energy, ESG, external affairs, international, and state regulatory fronts.
Announced during the Institute’s winter Board of Directors and CEO meeting in Palm Beach, these changes are effective immediately:

In her expanded role, she will continue to oversee and to coordinate strategic clean energy engagement across EEI and across the federal government. Fisher has directed EEI’s response to climate change-related regulations and litigation since 2015. McMahon joined EEI in 1992 and has served as senior vice president of energy supply and finance since 2019. McMahon directs EEI’s Wall Street activities on behalf of member companies, including financial analysis, investor relations, ESG/sustainability reporting, accounting, and tax issues. He also oversees EEI energy supply activities, including the use and transportation of natural gas. McMahon completed the Stanford University Graduate School of Business Executive Program in Leadership. McMahon will continue to report to EEI Executive Vice President of the Business Operations Group and Regulatory Affairs Phil Moeller.
- Dr. Lawrence E. Jones is now Senior Vice President, International Programs. Jones joined EEI in 2015 as vice president of International Programs. Under his leadership, EEI’s International Programs has grown to more than 65 member companies with operations in more than 90 countries, and has launched several new strategic initiatives, including the annual Global Electricity Forum, the Global Executive Leader Network, the Africa Utility Power Sector Exchange, the Thomas Edison–Nikola Tesla Impactful Leadership Dialogue, and the Thomas Edison International Utility Executive Fellowship Program. Prior to joining EEI, Jones was North America Vice President for Utility Innovation & Infrastructure Resilience at Alstom Grid Inc., where he assisted companies worldwide with formulating strategies for deploying new technologies and innovative business solutions. Before joining Alstom Grid Inc., Jones was a visiting research scientist at Electricite de France and worked on special projects at ABB in Sweden.
