EEI Congratulates Newly Appointed FERC Chairman Mark Christie

WASHINGTON (January 20, 2025) — Edison Electric Institute (EEI) interim President and CEO Pat Vincent-Collawn today issued the following statement.

“EEI and our member electric companies congratulate Mark Christie on his appointment as chair of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. Through his experience at the Commission and previously as a state regulator, Chairman Christie understands how essential stakeholder engagement is to building the infrastructure needed to enhance, strengthen, and secure the energy grid.

“We look forward to continuing to work with Chairman Christie and the rest of the Commission on the many key issues impacting EEI member companies and our customers, including enabling development of the energy infrastructure needed to meet demand growth and to enhance reliability and grid security.”
